Description: This short story is about a cryptid blogger and how he accidentally crosses paths and helps save a young shape shifter.

Summary
Summary: He writes for a cryptid website after losing his dot.com job. He works with two other people where they fly all over the world, chasing mythical creatures that people have claimed to have seen or come across. As he's driving to the town Goldport, he gets abruptly stopped by a rare house in the middle of the street. He opens the passenger door to say something to the dog and the dog immediately jumps in his car. As soon as the dog jumps in, he sees a group of men running out from the forest and he immediately shuts the door and bolts.He's ultimately surprised when all of a sudden where the hound was sitting was a young naked girl who shifted to human form. They get discovered by several detectives that have been looking for her for 10 years, which apparently she was kidnapped. The officers take the both of them and house them for the night under one condition - that he doesn't write about any of this on the blog. In the end, they bait the kidnappers and kill them so they aren't able to steal shifters anymore. In the end, the girl is finally reunited with her family.

Excerpt: I cast a quick glance to the side, veered all over the road, said, “Oh, my,” and bit down on a more vigorous exclamation, because huddled on the floor of the passenger side was a girl. She was blond and slight, and for just a moment I thought she was young – very young, like fourteen or fifteen. But then I focused on her face, because the rest was naked and I really didn’t want to look at it, and, my face burning, realized that she was in her late twenties, maybe around my age. The face had that mature look, and the eyes – strangely warm brown eyes – had a look of grave seriousness. She still looked scared
